Bullwark's grimace transformed into fiendish laughter. This sudden change shocked Kane as he watched the green fire jet back toward Tessa who was prepared, leaping high into the air. The fire blazed past where she'd stood only seconds before. Kane looked for Bullwark's response and was startled to discover he was not where he had stood. A shriek issued from above. Tessa was hurtling toward the ground at breakneck speed.
